Not that long ago, local beer aficionados of Cary would have to drive over to Raleigh or Durham for local brews and craft beer, but so much has changed lately around town. The craft beer scene in Cary has been exploding in popularity over recent years and today, Cary is home to three great local breweries, and new beer bars and bottle shops are opening their doors to thirsty patrons from Cary and beyond.

Check out these top five Cary spots that are making it big on the local Cary craft beer scene:

Fortnight Brewing Company

Fortnight Brewing Company specializes in UK-inspired beers. Its core beers include an English Ale, Porter, and ESB, which are all brewed with English grown ingredients and yeast. Other beers include a Blonde Ale, a Coffee Porter, and an IPA that is brewed with a combination of English and American styles. Keep an eye on the Fortnight Brewing Company website for seasonal releases as well. The brewery also hosts tours, events, and food trucks.

Bond Brothers Beer Company

Bond Brothers Beer Company is located in downtown Cary and is always a hub of activity. It hosts a run club and a variety of events. Keep an eye on its event calendar.  The brewery also features a fantastic patio, where kids and dogs are welcome. Beers you may find on tap at Bond Brothers Beer Company include a Farmhouse Ale, Sours, and a variety of IPAs. Bond Brothers Beer Company also features a few barrel-aged brews.

Jordan Lake Brewing Company

Jordan Lake Brewing Company is the newest brewery located in downtown Cary. It features a small, but a fantastic variety of beers, including a Scottish ale, an Oatmeal Stout, and several IPAs. They host a variety of events, including trivia night and dart competitions. Check out its event calendar.

Highcraft Beer Market

Highcraft Beer Market is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting bar. It features an expansive collection of beers by the bottle. There’s also a bar with a variety of beers on tap so you can sip while you shop. Not sure what you want? Pharmacy Bottle + Beverage

Looking for the perfect beer? Pharmacy Bottle + Beverage provides the prescription you need! It’s located in downtown Cary and features a unique selection of craft beers by the bottle. It’s also a great spot to hang out and drink beers with your crew. There’s always a decent selection of beers on draft at its tasting bar.

Cary is an exciting place to be for craft beer fans, especially in 2018. These five spots we highlighted above are just the beginning.
