It’s after midnight in Downtown Raleigh, and your crew is still up for a nightcap. Preferably one that you can sip on instead of chug!

Check out these late night spots for craft cocktails and drinks:

Watts & Ward

Watts & Ward opened in the spring of 2017, and the basement bar quickly became a popular spot for late night drinks. Once you are inside, there are several rooms with comfy couches, booths, and tables. There are multiple bars staffed with experienced bartenders so you won’t have to wait too long for your drink.

Foundation is a local favorite. The shotgun style basement bar isn’t massive so you might have a hard time getting in, but it’s worth the wait! Not only do they have creative cocktails, but they also make their own mixers and sodas. This way your DD will also have something delicious to drink at the end of the evening!

Gallo Pelon Mezcaleria

Gallo Pelon is the one and only Mezcaleria in Downtown Raleigh! Sip on a Mezcal cocktail or try it straight. Try the Rooster & the Pearly cocktail for a smoky cocktail adventure!

The Greenlight

You might have a hard time finding The Greenlight, so look for the doorway to The Architect. Climb the stairs and look for the bookcase with the green light. Inside you’ll find a cozy cocktail bar. The perfect place for a nightcap!

The Haymaker

No need to make hay when you are chillaxing at The Haymaker at the end of the evening! This place is great for groups because they have cocktails serve din punch bowls for everyone to share. The Haymaker also features champagne on tap!

Have a delicious treat to go along with your last drink of the evening. Bittersweet offers sweet and savory treats while also boasting an impressive gin selection. Your DD will also appreciate their excellent coffee beverages!

If you love tequila, Calavera is the perfect place for a nightcap! Sip on Anejo straight or try one of their awesome tequila cocktails. I recommend the Tormenta! Need a snack? The empanadas are also delicious!

Whiskey Kitchen

Whiskey Kitchen is known for its extensive whiskey collection. Shocking, right? Whether you love scotch, bourbon, on the rocks or neat, whiskey lovers are all sure to find the perfect beverage to sip on at Whiskey Kitchen!

Circa 1888

Circa 1888 features craft cocktails as well as an impressive selection of bottled beer. Take in a game of pool while you sip on your last drink of the evening. Circa 1888 also features jazz music on First Fridays.

The Outpost

This is another newbie! The Outpost is a cozy tiki bar featuring creative cocktails, smoothies, and coffee.

No matter where the evening takes you, you are sure to have delicious beverages and will probably even make a few new friends!
