Brewery Bhavana

Brewery Bhavana, one of Downtown Raleigh’s newest restaurants, recently snagged a top ten spot on Bon Appétit’s America’s Best New Restaurants in 2017 list! This unique spot features a brewery, a flower shop a bookshop and amazing dim sum. Reservations are a must, as all of the publicity has made it difficult to get a table!

  • 5 star ratingA must if you are in Raleigh!  The soup dumplings are divine, in addition to the green beans.  I will definitely visit again when in town.

  • Let me say the food here is outstanding. Must haves: chicken wings (pro tip: get all sauces on the side so you don’t have to just pick one), papaya salad with trout (the trout finishes the whole dish in the best way possible), and of course the crispy pork belly soup (no words needed!!!) The service is great, staff is friendly and knowledgeable always offering tips and recommendations. If they have the chocolate creme brûlée when you are there, order it - it’s to die for. The disappointment came when I ordered a Moscow mule, and based on everything else... Expand

  • 5 star ratingBeen here multiple times now. Great date spot. Food is amazing and the beer is funky, unique and delicious. I will say that it is pricier than some but the food is absolutely worth the price in this instance. I also highly recommend making a reservation a week in advance because the wait can often be over an hour on a weekend night. The soup dumplings are as close to dim sum go go in NYC as I've ever had and those are some good dumplings.

  • 5 star ratingThis is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh so far! Have only been once but the service and quality of food was unbeatable. Great selection of unique Asian dishes including Indian, Thai, Laotian, and more. Recommend making a reservation as it gets busy at night.

  • 5 star ratingI describe Brewery Bhavana as a little piece of heaven! From the marble backdrop of the bar, to the cozy, floral ambiance - this place is truly an aesthetic experience you do not want to miss. The ginger dumplings were my favorite dish, and I highly recommend trying it out. Bring your coworkers after work, or bring a date in the evening, this place is definitely worth your time.

  • 5 star ratingBrewery Bhavana definitely lives up to the hype. The food is probably the best I have had in Raleigh, and I ordered the best sour beer I have ever had there (bounty). The atmosphere is great, and the prices are reasonable. I will for sure be back!

  • 5 star ratingThe atmosphere is vibrant yet very comfortable. The vast lengthy bar to the left as you enter is inviting. The dining room room to the right is separated by a book store/library area. The Asian infused menu has plenty of variety and everything we tried was outstanding. The beer list of their own brews is broad and quite wonderful. Great addition to the Raleigh area.

  • 5 star ratingPopped in and found a solo seat at the bar, had a nice hand crafted cocktail    The beer selection looked amazing too.  Great Dumplings are what I seek- no dearth of dumpling perfection here. Soup dumplings were superior.

  • A must visit establishment in the area. The food is top and the service matches. The beer is awesome and the atmosphere will vary depending on when you go there. Evenings during the week is loud but festive. Weekends are good anytime! Eat and drink plenty!!!

  • Worth the wait and worth every penny. If you can, its best to reserve a spot on Open Table. If you can't get a spot, put your name in and go have a drink at the bar. Also, they serve the full menu at the bar, so you can snag a spot there as well. The Grove is my favorite brew of theirs. All of the dim sum is fantastic. Grab some of the green beans too!

  • 4 star ratingWent for a light dinner - had seafood dumplings, congee soup and green beans. Everything we flavorful and cooked well. Congee soup and beans stood out. Dumplings were OK. We went on a Thursday night at about 8 pm and it was pretty crowded. Neat concept. Lots of beers also.

  • 5 star ratingMy daughter took me to this restaurant tonight to celebrate my birthday.  Our server was William, he recommend the duck and it was delicious.  The skin was crispy,  the buns were soft,  pillowy and steamy, perfect with the duck and the sauce and sides that it came with to make the perfect bite.  We also had the bone marrow with oxtail and scallion pancakes.  Also delicious, but the pancakes were a little doughy.  Would like to give William a shout out for being so nice and helpful with our questions about the menu.

  • 4 star ratingThe curry puffs were a little dry and bland. The whole cooked fish was delicious as were the sauces. Super interesting atmosphere. Very good service.

  • 4 star ratingI have been wanting to try this restaurant with my boyfriend and we lucked out last week and got a great table. I'm really mad that I cannot remember my waitresses name but she was super amazing... I think it was Sarah. Anyways the food was really good as well as interesting and the drinks were perfect. I felt like the bartender did not water them down but didn't go overboard either.
